It’s a laptop like no other

Transformer Book Trio is more than just a sleek and stylish ultraportable laptop — it’s three computers in one. Detach the 11.6-inch display and you not only have a lightweight multi-touch tablet to relax with, but the PC Station keyboard dock can also be connected to an external monitor and used a standalone desktop PC. So you can’t decide what kind of computer to buy, or want one you can share daily with your family, Transformer Book trio is perfect for you.

The Asus Transformer Book Trio is with 2 GB RAM. The device also has 16/32/64 GB internal storage + microSD (up to 64 GB) and a 11.6-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen (1080 x 1920 , 190 ppi) display. It has a 5MP rear camera and supports Wifi and GPS. It packs in a Non-removable Li-Po battery (19 Wh) at 9.7mm device thickness, running on Android OS, v4.2 (Jelly Bean).

The Trio tablet features an 11.6-inch 1080p display, and is powered by an Intel Atom Z2760 1.6GHz processor and 2GB of RAM. You’ll get the choice of either 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB of storage. The tablet side of course has Android 4.2.2 on board.

The keyboard dock is where you’ll find the power for the Windows 8 side of things. For that, you’ll get a choice of processor up to an Intel Core i7 Haswell chip, 4GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. ASUS is saying you’ll get up to 13 hours of battery running Android(with the keyboard dock), but just 5 hours running Windows 8, despite the Haswell chipset.

One interesting thing is that the keyboard dock can be hooked up to an external display and used independently of the tablet display. Although, it sounds like your only option with the tablet will be Android, and you won’t be able to use the display as a Windows tablet.
